Job Statement:

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead and/or Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Team Member, Hardware, is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely picking and packing of orders, key cutting, and key locks, and inventory management.  The Warehouse Team Member, Hardware, is an integral agile contributor in the daily operations of the hardware segment of the warehouse and always performs work in a safe manner and with a high degree of attention to detail.

 

Essential Functions:

Hardware:

  • Key locks and maintain appropriate logs.
  • Operate the key cutting machine.
  • Accurately pick orders in a timely fashion in accordance with the pick slip and Riverside’s standard operating procedures.
  • Accurately pick materials required for production and manufacturing.
  • Accurately update and maintain hardware log.
  • Read orders to ascertain product/catalog numbers, sizes, colours, and quantities of merchandise.
  • Load, unload and move products to designated areas and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment.
  • Identify items to be reordered or replenished; responsible for maintaining hardware inventory levels.
  • Report back-order items to Warehouse Manager and Senior Purchasing and Inventory Control Agent as well as all other relevant stakeholders and update logs in accordance with Riverside policies and procedures.
  • Process product returns and respective credits in accordance with Riverside policies and procedures.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor.
  • Keep hardware warehouse areas and aisles clean and in order.
  • Transport products to vehicles as required.
  • Participate in annual year-end physical inventory counts.
  • Assist in inventory cycle counts.
  • Perform work in a safe manner.
  • Compliance with Riverside policies, Health & Safety Program, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • General cleanup of warehouse including but not limited to trash, debris, etc.
  • Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism with all team members, clients, homeowners, and trades.

Wire Cutting:

  • Accurately measure, cut, and package wire.
  • Calculate the necessary components to work with each type of shelving accordingly.
  • Ensure wire cutting equipment is properly functioning.
  • Minimize waste.

Job Statement:

Reporting to the Production Supervisors, the Production Team Member prepares wood parts for the next stage in the manufacturing and/or assembly process for door products and mouldings in level one positions within the mill. The Production Team Member is an integral member of the production team and contributes to the daily output of quality products.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare door parts and/or products including priming, painting, or staining.
  • Inspect doors, mouldings and trim to prepare for priming, painting, or staining.
  • Application of primers as required.
  • Perform quality checks on products and parts. Scrutinize goods to maintain process and product standards.
  • Report/record product defects and damages to the Supervisor and/or appropriate designate.
  • Read and review blueprints and work orders to ensure work is completed to specifications.
  • Work through the required tasks in the production processes.
  • Follow production schedule to ensure deadlines are met.

Job Statement:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor(s), the Machine Operator, Moulder, is primarily responsible for the set up and operating of one or more woodworking machines (Moulders) to fabricate wood parts for millwork products. The Machine Operator, Moulder, is accountable for contributing to the daily output of quality products and meeting department KPIs.  This position always performs work in a safe manner and with a high degree of attention to detail.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Setup, load heads, and adjusting moulder to run profiles.
  • Safe and proficient operation of moulder with precise attention to detail.
  • Monitor operation of machines and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Setup and measurements of knives as necessary.
  • Inspect and identify worn out knives, replacing when necessary.
  • Follow production schedule to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Read and interpret specifications and/or follow verbal instructions.
  • Feed stock through feed mechanisms or conveyors into planing, shaping, or sanding machines to produce desired components.
  • Loading/unloading and operation of moulder using lifting assist devices (as required) in a safe manner.
