Inside Sales Representative | Waterloo Showroom

Our Inside Sales Representatives are the first face customers see when they walk into our showroom. This role provides complete sales and service to walk-in and online inquiries that we receive from homeowners, general contractors, and home builders. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, this role will play a vital part in coordinating directly with most internal departments to provide a world class experience to all our clients.

Overall Responsibilities:

·        Represent Riverside in a positive and professional manner

·        Greet all walk-in, phone-in customers, and present them with options for service

·        Work with Sales Manager to qualify inquiries coming through the website for distribution to sales teams or service inside

·        Assess and qualify the needs of walk-in customers, and consult with each customer to arrive at the best solution for their project needs

·        Sell Riverside’s industry leading value proposition of one stop shopping for interior finishing products and services

·        Create customer orders and take proper payments as required

·        Liaise with Warehouse to arrange product pick-up, ensuring materials are prepared, gathered, and loaded according to the customers’ request

·        Use superior product knowledge to create estimates for walk in customers and refer larger estimates to Estimating department

·        Maintain order desk and showroom in a clean and organized manner at all times

·        Conduct post sale follow up (call customer to ensure they are satisfied with product/service) and report post sales customer information and issues

·        Prospect potential builder customers and or projects for outside sales representatives

·        Identify areas of improvement for the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions

·        Keep up to date on industry trends and new and exciting products

·        Work with all personnel and outside contacts to satisfy clients and achieve company goals

-        Collaborating with other departments such as Financing, Shipping, Receiving, or Purchasing to understand lead times and solve any issues that may arise

·        Perform any other duties assigned by your manager

 

Required Skills, Education, and Competencies:

·        Minimum of one-year retail sales/customer service experience

·        Outgoing personality and customer is first mentality

·        Interior building materials or residential construction knowledge is required

·        Practical mathematics skills required (fractional conversions, perimeter, area calculations)

·        Excellent in-person, telephone, and email communication skills

·        Post-secondary education degree or diploma preferred

·        Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

·        Experience with Seradex software an asset

·        Comfortable with learning new software

·        Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, and reliable team member
